Join us for a celebration of and reflection on a great ski season that had some amazing Adventure trips and fun times. It all started with an awesome Fernie bus trip and culminated with our spring Marmot U-drive trip. Our SCSC  family had some great adventures with fun activities and created new memories and friends. There were many new faces and faces we hadn't seen for a while and the fun times were a reflection of a great ski and board season.

This Year's Spring Social also has a more sobering tone. Long time SCSC member and friend, Vince Ohama, suffered a severe head injury in late February while rock climbing on a Via Ferrata route near Pristina, Kosovo. Vince remained in a Kosovo hospital, with Adele at his side caring for him, until late March when he was well enough to be medivaced back to Red Deer. Vince continues his recovery at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to Vince and Adele during this difficult time and we wish him a speedy recovery. The Kosovo Search and Rescue Organisation, SKSMK, was instrumental in Vince's rescue and quickly responded to and safely transported Vince to a Kosovo Hospital. One member of that team in particular, Ilir Zhegrova, was exceptional in providing additional support and  translation services to Adele while she tended to Vince in hospital. At Adele's and Vince's request, we will be collecting donations to support the Kosovo Search and Rescue Organisation at the Spring Social.
